Schwab Wealth & Asset Management Engineering (WAME) Technology is part of the Schwab Technology Services (STS) organization supporting Schwab's Research, Portfolio management, and Trading platforms to provide products, advice and services to institutional and retail clients manage investments.

This team is essentially the front-office for Schwab Asset Management and Wealth Management that continues to harness the state-of-the-art technologies for differentiating Schwab portfolio research and portfolio management. Team is high performing and plays a key role in developing the technical strategy, designing systems, and delivering to high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and deliver solutions as part of an Agile Scrum team.
· Build high-quality unit test code; partner with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage and zero-defect production releases.
. Support and triage issues and participate in production support to help develop resilient and secure systems to prevent issues that impact on our clients.
· Stay current with evolving technologies and trends; continuously learn and apply modern patterns for data engineering and streaming.
. Participate in developing cutting edge proof of concepts to be adopted into enterprise tech stack.
· Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences; demonstrate ownership, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.

What you have


Required Qualifications

2-4 years of full stack application development experience and experience mentoring/assisting junior team developers on team.
Proven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using:
            Front End Technologies/Concepts: NET, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, Sync/ASync services
            Back End Technologies/Concepts: .NET, .NET core, C# and RESTful API design, Micro-Services and Event-drive driven architecture and frameworks (RabbitMQ)
            Database Technologies:  MSSQL
            Environment: Distributed Monolithic and Cloud Based Micro-services (Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry is strongly differentiating)
Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies
Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools (Jenkins / Bamboo /GIT)
Good knowledge of new standard industry tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (ex. JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ)
