Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact—on your career, your partners, and the clients we serve. As a Business Analytics Developer within our Retail Sales and Risk Management Analytics team, you’ll act as a trusted analytics partner to leaders across Investor Services, Retail Sales, and Retail Supervision and Risk Management teams.

In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of business strategy, data, and communication—translating complex business questions into actionable insights that drive growth, improve client experience, and support data‑driven decision‑making. You’ll collaborate closely with business partners, product teams, and data colleagues to ensure analytics is engaged early, aligned to priorities, and delivering measurable value.

You’ll join a collaborative, inclusive environment where we succeed together as One Schwab, are guided by integrity and service, and are supported to own your tomorrow through meaningful work and continued skill development.

In this role you’ll:

  • Serve as a primary data and analytics liaison to Retail Sales and Risk Management business partners—building strong relationships, understanding business priorities, and shaping analytics solutions that drive action.
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, define success metrics, and scope reporting and analytics solutions, balancing business impact, feasibility, and delivery timelines.
  • Design, build, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reporting that provide clear visibility into performance, trends, and opportunities using modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives tailored to leaders and cross‑functional partners, enabling confident, data‑driven decisions.
  • Develop and maintain SQL‑based data queries and data sets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with enterprise data standards.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, governance, and analytics peers to deliver scalable, well‑governed solutions that integrate across teams and systems.
  • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities, bringing insights forward—often before they’re requested—to support strategic and operational decision‑making.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as SQL, Python, etc. and experience translating business questions into structured data queries and analyses.
  • Experience developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
