Evaluate complex user requests, projects, and clarifies objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs. Analyze, solution design, configuration and development activities using Pega. Perform troubleshooting/debugging, issue triaging, and perform defect fixes for the application. Support Production Readiness processes to ensure the team is ready to support features deployed to production. Coordinate application maintenance activities, such as OS upgrade, Disaster Recovery exercise, etc. Serve on a 24x7 production support team on rotation. Analyze and resolve application issues in production. Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment techniques to automate the build & deploy process over time using tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Harness. Institute Pega feature that automates approval of changes; apply feature to legacy rules. Provide input to technical design process model, monitoring and reporting components, task and service implementations, work management, process start and control, event handling, integration components, work assignment, user access and security components, and versioning approach. Participate in solution deployment. WebSphere/Tomcat administration in support of releases and buildout of new infrastructure.

Position allows for partial remote work (2-3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company HQ in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years of related experience which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Pega PRPC administration, configuration, optimization, issue troubleshooting and resolution; Scrum and Agile methodology; DevOps (Bamboo, SALTSTACK, Harness, and GitHub); Linux administration and troubleshooting; and Tomcat administration, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
