Architect, design and develop microservices using Java 1.8+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA. Architect Apache Kafka Producers, Listeners, Streams, and state stores. Develop best practices in development tand Architectural designs. Mentoring & helping Jr. members to complete their tasks. Engineer end to end Integration tests & unit test cases using Mockito, Integration tests with Wire mock. Advanced Configuration Management using external configuration for service using Spring Cloud Config. Integration framework for consuming Spring Data JPA with MS SQL Server. Engineer Build pipelines using CI/CD technologies including Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence.

Must be available to work in office three days a week. Work from home is acceptable two days a week. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role. Experience and/or education must include: Kafka & Trading Domain knowledge; Software Design & Architecture: designing and development of highly available microservices for large enterprise scale distributed and messaging systems; Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQL, Cloud Platforms – Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Azure; Mentoring junior Members; Advanced Performance Tuning and Optimization for Java Spring boot and Kafka Streams; and Design & Development of complex Credential Management system using Spring CredHub framework.
