The Specialist, Lending Solutions applies knowledge skills and experience to perform daily bank lending solutions tasks. The role is responsible for handling daily inbound and outbound phone hotline activities and operational tasks related to the Pledged Asset Line product, including transaction processing, money movements, account open and account maintenance support, and general PAL information.

The Associate, Bank Operations is a first line of defense position for Charles Schwab Bank and assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal Bank regulations in the context of their responsibilities.

What you'll do:

Provide inbound/outbound phone support for Bank Lending clients and partners.  Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Handle inbound and outbound servicing phone calls with clients and Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs)
  • Effectively managing and evaluating risk when reviewing client account money movement and help clients/RIAs help with money movements.
  • Deliver detailed responses to questions, offering alternatives and ensuring an excellent client experience.
  • Communicating effectively and delivering work that is detailed and clear in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactively educating clients and internal partners on the Pledge Asset Line Product.
  • Actively listening, assessing client needs, researching information, and providing clients with innovative solutions.
  • Problem solving and conducting research/special requests using email, telephone, and our internal inquiry system.

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 plus years of client service and/or operations experience specifically in Banking or the Financial Services industry.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills are required, preferably experience in a large call center.
  • Experience servicing $2million plus high-net-worth clients
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and policies required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with lending operations in the banking or mortgage industry
  • Ability to multi-task, with demonstrated success navigating multiple computer applications simultaneously.
  • Attributes of an entrepreneurial self-starter; and have a shown ability to deliver excellent client service with the ability to anticipate and resolve problems under your own initiative.
  • Focused analytical skills and attention to detail to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Dedication to resolving a variety of complex client inquires both through technology-based issues and working closely with internal partners.
  • Desire to gain financial licenses such as the SIE, and FINRA Series 7 & 63

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
