AS Billing team is small but mighty, collaborative and engaged team that handles many billing functions across the organization including TOA Rebates, Wrap billing, Schwab Advisor Network (SAN) billing, Small Advisor Business Loans (SABL) billing, iRebal billing and Salesforce Cloud billing. As an Advisor Services (AS) Billing Specialist you will Initially partner with Sales and Advisor Conversion/Transition Services (ACS/ATS) to facilitate the rebating of Transfers Fees. This role works closely with internal business partners in AS Sales as well as ACS/ATS to facilitate the smooth onboarding of advisors bringing their business to Schwab. Excellent written communication skills are necessary as this role predominantly communicates via email with little interactions via phone. Strong working knowledge of Excel is crucial for data entry requirements. AS Billing volumes are typically not impacted by tax-time nor year-end spikes and there is generally have no rolling vacation black outs. This role allows for the opportunity to work remotely providing performance expectations are being met.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Act as a brand ambassador for AS Billing while servicing our clients through regular interactions via email
  • Assist with the management of the workflow and email inbox to maintain or exceed service levels, shifting workflow amongst teamates as needed
  • Act as first escalation point for rebate and billing requests
  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and resolve complex requests and provide additional solutions when necessary
  • Seek out opportunities to improve skills and knowledge
  • Educate interal partners and clients while resolving complex issues including necessary research and analysis with an inquisitive, detail oriented approach
  • Proactively help to identify control gaps and inefficiencies and/or opportunities for process improvement/risk mitigation timely and effectively

What you have

  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 9 and 10 Licenses is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Advisor Services experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing via email to internal business partners
  • Self-motivation with superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while delivering assignments with little direction
  • Excellent relationship management skills including collaborating with and influencing teammates/business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think on your feet
