Database design and data modeling. Database administration including forecasting and planning. Database optimization and performance tuning. Data governance and data quality analysis. Design database security best practices and access standardization. Code review and guide developers. Work with solution architects for new apps and services design. Build guidelines for development best practices. Mitigate and prevent any database audit findings. Public Cloud database migration. Design cloud database architecture. Perform operating cost analysis and make recommendations for database selection. Define data retention and audit policies.

Must be available to work in office two days a week. Telecommuting is acceptable three days a week. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in database development, design and administration in the job offered or related role. Skills: Experience and/or education must include: Data modeling and data architecture industry experience including: Erwin, ER Studio and Kimball dimensional modeling; Database turning using SQL Server, Postgress and Oracle; Performance monitoring tools such as QueryStore, Foglight and Performance Insight; Major database and public cloud: Oracle, Microsoft Azure and AWS; Design database access procedures to adhere to firm policy; Implement data retention policies per business requirement; and Major database: MS SQL and Postgres.

Target Total Compensation - $154,606.00 – $246,800.00
