Participate in discussion and review of business requirements and existing system. Translate the requirements into technical and functional specifications, create high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility. Perform Software Engineering activities such as high-level design and detailed design, development, coding, testing, troubleshooting and documentation of software applications using Microsoft Technologies such as DOTNET Framework. DOTNET Core, ASP.NET, C#.NET, MVC, WebAPI, and other UI/Javascript technologies for cloud and on-premises environments. Use tools, methodologies, and best practices in developing and customize application software and migration of legacy software to new infrastructure, building cloud-ready applications and integration with different systems for Pivotal Cloud Foundry / Google Cloud / Salesforce. Contribute to the Architecture, design of various Microservices and development of scalable, resilient and high availability Microservices, APIs in Service oriented Architecture (SOA) platform using ASP.NET core, .NET Framework and other Microsoft technologies. Work with SQL/No-SQL databases such as Mongo DB and performance optimization of complex database queries and procedures. Implement application and API security using SAML, Token based Authentication/ Authorization such as System OAuth, SCHMS1, Bearer token etc. and perform encryption/ decryption for data security and system configuration. Perform research with new technology, develop prototype and PoCs and arrange workshop with team members and architects. Perform various code review activities along with quantitative and qualitative analysis and review performance metrics of application Softwares / APIs. Monitor applications and services logs for user activity, various issues including system health and system behavior and performance using Splunk. Create and manage build and deploy pipeline using tools such as Bamboo, Harness and PowerShell Scripts continuous integration and continuous deployment of applications. Manage and support Production release and maintenance and fully support all development phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Works with an Agile team environment and use Agile methodologies to deliver solutions and interact with individuals from across Schwab in different supporting organizations and business groups. Conduct research and evaluate new technology tools and training which can help with implementing our technical roadmap.

Must be available to work in office three days a week. Work from home is acceptable two days a week. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Information Technology, or related field and eight (8) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development or in the job offered or related role. Skills: Experience and/or education must include: Develop applications using Microsoft technologies including .Net framework, .Net Core, ASP.NET, C#.Net, Web API, and MVC; Architecture, Design, Development and Deployment of Micro services, Service oriented Architecture (SOA), and REST APIs; SQL/No-SQL databases including: SQL Server, Oracle and MongoDB; Continuous integration and continuous deployment using Bamboo, Harness and Jenkins; Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers/ team members; Architecture, design, development of the cloud native applications; UX/UI technologies such as Javascript , Node JS, Angular or Typescript; HTML,CSS or Bootstrap; and Understanding/application of Agile Practices/Methodology.
