What you are good at


Lead application modernization and driving digital transformation using modern architecture and developer methodologies like Pivotal, Extreme programming, integrating security, operations, and monitoring into the engineering practices, and enhancing CICD pipelines. Responsible for developing Multi-Threaded Application using C#, Asp.Net Core, REST, Webservices, Rabbit MQ, KAFKA, IBM MQ and NoSQL database like Cassandra, Elastic. Building event driven services and components using messaging / streaming platforms like Rabbit MQ and Kafka to facilitate communication. Develop Cloud native application to support Hybrid cloud deployment. Deploy application on Schwab’s data centers along with modern cloud platforms in Google Cloud Platform and Tanzu Application Service (Pivotal Cloud Foundry). Collaborate with the development teams and technology leaders across Schwab technology on product development, best practices, and automation. Modernize CI CD pipeline to be DevSecOps enabled by including Security scan analysis, code smells and anti-pattern detection, performance tests, blue green deploys along with unit / functional / integration tests. Responsible for Monitoring using tools like Splunk, App Dynamics, Production support, maintenance and enhancements of applications supporting trading business. Assess and apply emerging technologies, practices, and processes and strategize and execute projects to improve efficiency and innovation. Drive decomposition of existing monolith Schwab applications and services into simplified products which are domain driven using modern technology stack, following twelve factor apps methodology. Build applications geared towards ultra-low latencies, strong consistency with high throughput using NOSQL data stores and that can scale linearly using commodity hardware. Ensure resiliency and fallback is part of application modernization and that all new products are developed with strong focus on automation, quality, and security.

What you have


Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field and (8) Eight years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related role. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field and Six (6) years of progressive, experience in the job offered or related role. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education and experience. Skills: Experience and/or education must include: Building ultra-low latency, high volume, and reliable next generation platforms with throughputs of 10K or more; Building cloud native application which can be deployed on prem using PCF or any public cloud; Working in Asp.net, Asp.net Core, C#, REST, Web service, design patterns. Experience building designs and reviewing them with architects; Infrastructure set up, CI/CD process, networking, CDNs & load balancing; and Agile, XP software development methodologies and processes, and capability of supporting agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities.
