The Retail Sales Operations team is responsible for designing and implementing programs that support the evolution of our client relationship models across our mass affluent, high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth client segments. The team provides support and insight to deliver best practices, scale, and enhanced sales effectiveness across the Branch Network. The Senior Manager, Sales Operations reports to the Director, Sales Operations.

Your Opportunity:

Consultant Client Engagement leverages rep expertise and digital technology to design messaging programs across three primary channels:

  • Intelligent Messaging, automated email messages directly to Clients on behalf of their rep
  • Direct Messaging, 1:1 or 1:many email messages activated by a rep from directly within Salesforce
  • Call campaigns, targeted lists of clients for live rep outreach

These messaging programs serve as critical touch points for the branch network focused on increasing client engagement and promoting client retention.  

This individual will work on a variety of topics – including the evaluation of new automation concepts – and partner with other Schwab teams in Marketing, Digital, and Branch to find answers to difficult questions while playing the role of Business Stakeholder for Capability Experience Owner.

What you will do:

  • Leverage message automation, email strategy and execution, and CRM knowledge to simultaneously drive engaging content strategy and campaign execution by partnering closely with marketing teams.
  • Execute on existing rollout strategy while building roadmap for future channel, template and content development
  • Manage and oversee the content development process from intake through copy writing, field feedback, development, QA and rollout
  • Influence cross-functional partners to inspire and consistently meet deadlines and understand trade-offs between automation and personalization
  • Identify key metrics, objectives, and results that will define message success
  • Lead quarterly business reviews to drive program awareness and effectiveness
  • Create high quality presentations to engage/influence a wide range of stakeholders, from senior leadership to technology teams on topics ranging from strategy to alignment and program updates
  • Building meaningful relationships with colleagues virtually, particularly executives

What you have


  • Consultative Experience:
  • Cross-Channel Marketing Automation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with familiarity of marketing journeys to optimize client engagement
  • Superior analytical skills: Comfortable reviewing data, develop insights and translate these into concise, , executive-level presentations using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Technology Fluency: Ability to converse with technology and product teams and comfort with high level architectural, platform, and delivery conversations. Salesforce Marketing and Sales Cloud, Tableau, Microsoft Teams proficiency a plus
  • Domain Knowledge: Background in Sales Operations, Marketing, Lead Management, and channel strategy is valued
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity: Exploring new, yet untested concepts, ideas, programs and tackling new problems that require working with a wide variety of partners to find solutions
  • A bias for action: The ability to overcome obstacles, tackle challenges creatively, and successfully execute, at times under tight deadlines and within dynamic work environments
  • Financial Services industry experience, while not essential, is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
